The museum was created in 1928 by André and Barié Association Auvillar old. The museum is made up by donations from residents of the town, supplemented by purchases.
This museum is dedicated to a major city crafts: pottery. You can find tiles made Auvillar 1749 to 1885.
A book of gouaches grouping different sets of tiles in the nineteenth century is also presented. Two models, representing a barge and a mill nave tell you transport the ceramic waterway.
The museum is operated by the Association of Friends of Old Auvillar. The association also organizes guided tours of the village and museums. Do not hesitate to inquire at the Tourist Office
- From 15 April to 15 October, daily from 14 h 30-18 h 30 except Tuesday;
- From 16 October to 14 April, weekends only from 14 h 30 to 17 h 30. Closed in December and January.
