The Calbet museum was created in 1938 by writer and poet Théodore Calbet Occitan, the museum of arts and popular traditions of Grisolles has a set of collections related to different aspects of regional daily life from prehistory to the present. Since 2002, the museum opened its Calbet spaces to contemporary, inviting exhibition and residency, artists revisiting the concepts of heritage, community and territory. An original encounter which makes this museum a place of unusual dialogue between the ancient heritage and artistic creation ... A departmental originality to discover.
Regular activities are proposed for the whole family such as snack-readings in collaboration with the inter-library Paschal Grousset.Children come listen to stories related to the theme of the exhibition the museum before enjoying a delicious snack.
Also available at the museum or the toy library "Games love you," a treasure hunt takes you through the village of Grisolles in all directions in order to resolve an investigation and expose "the color thief." Aimed at 8 years or more.
Finally, for larger groups, guided tours are available by appointment.
