MOISSAC

"The Pub, a breeze! "Abbey Palace on April 19/28 September 2014

From 19 april 2014 to 28 september 2014

Small "chromo", these vignettes that children yesterday received a reward, pubs "cult" of today's TV via posters Firmin Bouisset that marked generations of children, this exhibition playful and tender tells the story in pictures of a century of advertising. Small schoolboy LU, Cadum Baby, Baby swimmers Evian ... all small mythical characters of advertising await you.

Children in the pub ... an old story!

Since Firmin Bouisset, the poster Moissac, author of another of the little girl Menier Chocolate and Little schoolboy LU the currently installed at the end of the 19th century, children have never left the poster.

Having before everyone this simple and brilliant intuition one character carrying a pure message may embody a brand betting that this person could be a child, because his locurrence took them to model, Firmin bouisset quietly revolutionized commercial art.

True icons, the characters he created us are as familiar as childhood memories and have more than 120 years, not aged a bit!

Better yet, the small Menier and Petit LU even absolute champions of advertising longevity because they are still the image of the brands for which they were born.

All other characters pub, the Bibendum Banania Cadum of the Alsatian are beside them young first!

"Advertising, a child's play!" Kids in advertising ... an old story! Since Firmin Bouisset, poster designer from Moissac, father of the girl or the chocolate Meunier LU schoolboy, put 'em at the top line, They Have not gone down. From the small "chromo" Those stickers schoolkids used to receive as rewards, to today's TV commercials, going through the various posters That left Their mark on generations of kids, this playful exhibition Recounts the history in pictures through a century of advertizing. Bebe Cadum, Swimming Evian babies, LU Schoolboy ... all the legendary characters of advertisement, are waiting for you there.

If you are wise, you will have an image.

It all started in the 1850s shortly before Bouisset with chromos, these little cards that merchants published to their demands and that children received as a reward.Marvels of naive art, these small chromos (short chromolithograph) tell us this time of "pre-publicity" where merchants to boast their product were long, very long speech. While these side face chromo represented mostly childish scenes, they showed side stack, with profusion of text and details, the brand which they extolled the merits.

It was not until the Menier Small and Petit LU Bouisset in the late 1890s to understand the effectiveness of a character identified and purified a slogan!

The story of a century of Advertising

Designed in three stages the "advertising exposure, child's play! "Retraces the century of advertising where the child has become a key changer. Advertising speak of the child "prescriber".

The first part contains hundreds of color prints, and funny little forgotten wonders who tell so many stories.

The second shows us that poster artists were more beautiful on child pub. Dozens of posters from Bouisset to Morvan, small Menier to Baby Cadum, the Vitelloise to Persil and immaculate children ... So many works that tell us that the pub is also a graphic art.

In the third part on TV ads you will find everything that television has created unforgettable icons: the little boy Lotus, swimmers babies Evian, the kid Finger Cadbury, Mauritius and its limits ... They will all the appointment.

Specially designed for the tour games will be available for children.

An exhibition for children and for adults. An exhibition for all those who once were children.

The book "Firmin Bouisset the" poster "published by Ed Privat goes on sale in the month of April and of course available during the exhibition.

ST ANTONIN NOBLE VAL

FILM LES RECETTES DU BONHEUR - SORTIE OFFICIELLE 10 SEPTEMBRE

From 10 september 2014 to 10 october 2014
