Chaque dimanche après-midi à 15 heures, les Jardins de Quercy organisent une visite accompagnée et sur réservation. Cette visite est animée par l'un des concepteurs du jardin.
Un rapide historique est présenté en début de visite ou comment une colline pierreuse est devenue un jardin labellise' "Jardin Remarquable" par le Ministère de la Culture.
Puis se succèdent les différents jardins qui composent les Jardins de Quercy. Des explications et des commentaires sont donnés à chaque découverte d'un nouvel espace. L'accompagnateur attire l'attention du groupe sur certains points significatifs. Cela peut être la forme d'une plate-bande, le nom d'une plante, la place d'un arbre, l'importance des haies, etc..
Chacun des 15 jardins traversés ayant une identité propre, l'accent est mis sur l'organisation du jardin autour du thème annoncé.
Une séquence spéciale technique est prévue dans cette visite accompagnée : préparation des sols, fumure annuelle, construction de murets en pierre sèche et de murs en ciment, arrosages automatiques.
Enfin une explication est donnée sur les différentes installations et constructions qui jalonnent le parcours de visite.
Les visites de groupe des Jardins de Quercy, permettent à une vingtaine de personnes d'avoir une information spécifique et détaillée.
Ces visites ont lieu sur rendez-vous et durent entre 1h1/2 et 2 heures.
Les commentaires qui sont faits portent essentiellement sur l'Art du jardin et sur la conception, l'organisation des floraisons, la maintenance.
Comment jouer avec les perspectives, comment utiliser les couleurs, comment avoir en été des massifs toujours fleuris. Voilà quelques uns des thèmes qui sont évoqués.
Sont abordés également le choix des végétaux, l'arrosage, l'utilité des coins d'ombre.
Il ne s'agit pas d'une visite botanique, mais cependant, quelques plantes bien adaptées aux conditions difficiles de notre jardin sont présentées avec leur mode de culture. Plusieurs plantes peu courantes sont également montrées et commentées.
Les visites de groupe suivent un parcours préétabli avec de nombreux arrêts. Chacun des quinze jardins qui forment les Jardins de Quercy est l'objet d'une observation et d'une explication particulière.
Les visites de groupe sont conduites par l'un des deux concepteurs du jardin et peuvent s'adapter aux caractéristiques des groupes visiteurs.
Un café est offert en cours de visite.

"Les Jardins de Quercy"" have obtained the ""Jardin Remarquable"" label awarded by the Ministry of Culture and of which only about twenty parks and gardens are holders in Midi-Pyrénées.
