Summer activities on the leisure center of Tarn and Garonne

Promoting access to leisure and sport for all, the Departmental Council of Tarn-et-Garonne, owner of the Base, has made this place a destination of tourism 100% nature, with a sporting, playful and educational vocation.
In a preserved and green setting, you will have the pleasure of practicing many outdoor activities, with family or friends. Equipped with facilities for groups, collective accommodation and collective campground, the Leisure Center, approved National Education and Youth and Sports, also receives schools, leisure centers, sports groups and other associations, by the day or on holiday.

The lake of 400 hectares, one of the largest in Midi-Pyrénées, offers the opportunity to initiate you to many nautical disciplines, such as canoeing, pedalo, sailing, rowing, ..., while discovering the local fauna and flora.
For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, the proposals are not lacking: walk on the hiking trails, observe the birds on the ornithological site, enjoy the quiet fishing corners, before cycling to the banks of the Canal des Deux Mers to pedal in the shade of plane trees on the Vélo Voie Verte.

The Leisure base also has a motorhome area and a campsite labeled 2 stars.

Picnic areas are at your disposal with tables, barbecues, games for children... A fast food area also awaits you.
You can also sail on the 400 ha body of water. It is forbidden to approach the islands (ornithological reserve). Water skiing and jet skiing are not allowed. Free access to pontoons for boats (priority at the sailing school).
For safety reasons it is forbidden to swim in the lake.

From July 5 to August 31st, 2025 opening of the rental of nautical equipment and VTC and program of animations. In St Nicolas de la Grave, the Base de Loisirs du Tarn et de la Garonne offers more than 19 ha of nature on the edge of the lake, confluence of the Tarn and the Garonne.
The activities are numerous: sailing, canoeing, paddle, boat ride, archery, cycling, fishing (with compulsory card), ornithological reserve with the society of natural sciences.
