In 19th-century England, Mary is a young girl passionate about fossils, which she searches for on the beach with her father, then sells to tourists. The sudden death of her father throws the family into disarray: without a source of income, they will soon have to leave their home and, worse still, for Mary, her beloved fossil beach. But before dying, her father left her a mysterious message that could lead to a dramatic change in her life...
