Concert - New Orleans Fiesta

The New Orleans Fiesta is swing, dance, themes that “speak”, arrangements that impact, communicative energy, jubilant explosions, joy and generosity!
Around the leader Michel “Boss” QUERAUD (trumpet, clarinet), Michel VIALE (trombone), Jean-Jacques RATTIER, Jérôme ARLET (banjo and vocals), Pierre-Luc PUIG (double bass) and Jean-Luc GUIRAUD (drums and vocals) form
a unique group that succeeds in making traditional jazz music that is current, full of life and free from clichés.
Accomplices for more than 30 years, these 6 experienced Toulouse musicians have shared the traditional jazz stage with many leading artists (Wallace Davenport, Wendell Brunious, Albert Nicolas, Kid Thomas Valentine, Danny Barker, Louis Nelson, Sam Lee, Willie Humphrey, Alton Purnell…).
They have assimilated its strength and authenticity.
New Orleans Fiesta is not an ordinary orchestra: it is Music and Party. On the menu, a festive journey whose itinerary goes from New Orleans to New York and Chicago via the Caribbean, a journey which revisits styles (parades, boogaloo, blues, shuffle, ragtime, swing, biguines, calypsos, boogie woogie …)
and which summons the founding fathers of the city of the Crescent (Henry Red Allen, Georges Lewis, Louis Nelson, Louis Armstrong, Louis Cottrell, Cie Frazier, Georges Guesnon, Alcide “Slow Drag” Pavageau, Baby Dodds…).
