Heir to the realist tradition that characterized the latter, on the one hand, and attentive to the modern trends that shook the late 19th century, on the other, this gifted artist is the author of a prolific and increasingly personal oeuvre that places the exaltation of light at the center of its dynamics.
The conference aims to revisit most of his major works, including genre scenes, landscapes, and portraits.
