Since 1195, the consular power of Montauban has governed the city. After taking the oath of office in the Church of Saint-Jacques, the ten consuls moved into the town hall on the square in the main square. To mark the 120th anniversary of the law separating Church and State, follow the guide in the footsteps of this itinerant municipality and discover the state rooms of the current Town Hall.
