Built in the 13th century, the Château de Reyniès has belonged to the same family for twelve generations. Dominating the right bank of the Tarn, it occupies a strategic position which allowed it to control the intense river commercial traffic until the end of the 19th century.
Caught in the turmoil of the Wars of Religion, the castle was partly destroyed and then rebuilt on its initial foundations in 1650.
