St Antonin experienced four successive temples, destroyed or confiscated during the wars of religion. Declared "Protestant Republic" in 1562, the city was taken by Louis XIII in 1622 and forced into exile Protestants. The current temple was built in 1845 on the remains of the city. This garden filled with flowering varieties, you can enjoy views of the beautiful limestone cliffs of the Roc d'Anglars bordering the Aveyron river and behind the scenes of the city lie beautiful gardens! You can try on a stone table created by grinding flour mills and relax on the benches in the shade of plane trees (or chestnut).
