Meet at the Brasserie de la Halle (former Covered Market), 22 Place Lalaque
In March 1930, the rising waters of the Tarn caused ruin and desolation. Once the shock passed, life took over without forgetting. A challenge awaits the people of Montalban: rebuilding the damaged neighborhoods. The left bank becomes a permanent construction site to which architects from all over France flock. Art Deco then comes to Villebourbon.
Come discover a whole section of our recent history in the heart of the old covered market, an emblematic building of the reconstruction.
