Three masterpieces of the Baroque repertoire for recorder accompanied by a string quartet, featuring music inspired by dance, lyrical melodies and instrumental virtuosity.
Telemann's energetic Concerto, Sammartini's Concerto for Soprano Recorder, whose sublime central Siciliana exemplifies Italian vocal music, and finally, Telemann's spirited Suite in A minor, considered the counterpart to Bach's famous Suite in B minor.
These are demanding works of virtuosity for the performers, but with light and entertaining themes for the listeners—a delight for all.
