Violaine Bérot writes from the margins, driven by a life of ups and downs, an eclectic career that has taken her from IT to goat farming. Her works include Tombée des nues, The Secret Life of Pets (Buchet-Chastel), and Nuits de noces (La Contre-Allée). Her new book, On the Side of the Living, immerses us in a hospital room where two men—one who no longer wants to fight, the other who thinks it's over—cross paths with caregivers, loved ones,...ON THE SIDE OF THE LIVING with Violaine Bérot.
