The kitchen, art and design center

Interpretation Centre in Nègrepelisse
  • The art center is conceived as a laboratory that invites visual artists, designers, graphic artists, architects, etc., to develop projects in situ.

  • Exhibitions, residences and workshops allow to involve the territory and its inhabitants in the process of creation. The commune of Nègrepelisse becomes a space of study and experimentation of artistic production in open-air circuits. Exhibitions, residences and workshops allow to involve the territory and its inhabitants in the process of creation. The commune of Nègrepelisse becomes a space of study and experimentation of artistic production in open-air circuits. It houses several works of design and architecture that are arranged in the public space and in the courtyard of the art center: Chérie, j'ai oublié la tablecloth! / 5.5 designers - Le bois de Sharewood / Matali Crasset.
All these questions resonate in the Fourneaux du center d'art, an experimental kitchen that is both a tool for creation and mediation. A lively space, the center offers a program of events throughout the year: visits, workshops, conferences, performances, readings, concerts. The open house: We organize a permanence during the exhibitions: a person receives you in the room during the opening hours for the public. Accompanied visits: For you, your family, friends or groups, take advantage of a visit with a member of the mediation team. The activities are free of charge, except for certain artistic workshops, cooking workshops and shows.
The associative and cultural actors of the charter "Produits en Pays Midi-Quercy" commit themselves to promote local food, either by developing activities around gardening and/or food, or
by supplying local food during the organization of events.
