Today, the cloister houses the municipal school and the media library.
This convent was built in the 17th century to provide young girls in the country with Christian education and instruction. During the French Revolution, the convent was partly sold and the remaining buildings were used by the municipal services. Today they house the public school and the media library.
The main facade overlooking the square hides the cloister. On the top floor of the old convent is a gallery which allowed the Ursulines to raise silkworms. The mulberry trees present in the schoolyard bear witness to this activity since the leaves of the trees were used to feed the worms!
