Paulin Le Pain wants a divorce. He can no longer stand his wife Fanny, who nevertheless obeys his every whim.

But Marius and Rose Le Pin, due to a summons error regarding their last name, also have an appointment with the judge for the same reason, on the same day and at the same time. Rose, who rules her husband with an iron fist, wants to divorce Marius for the most surprising reasons! Jo, a plumber by trade, sees these two couples arrive when she was supposed to be alone repairing a water leak in the waiting room. Add to that a judge who is unsettled by the unexpected surgery of a close relative.
