In the center of the space, tables and high tables contribute to the convivial aspect of the place.

    L’Embarcadère in a few dates:
*1933: design by the city architect, Marcel Renard, of a vessel 27m long by 13m wide, with a stepped roof reminiscent of the slaughterhouse hall of the Fly of Lyon (Tony Garnier). The architecture is emblematic of the post-flood reconstruction of 1930. Realization of the project in reinforced concrete by the Montalbanian company J. Allègre.
*April 20, 1935: inauguration of the Villebourbon covered market. Inside, they sell meat and fish. Outside, there are stands dedicated to gardening, fruits, vegetables, poultry...
*1967: the bus station, established nearby, moved there to offices, a waiting room, a hall and toilets.>. End of the 1990s: the theater company "l'Arche de Noé" occupies the premises which take the name of Embarcadère.
*2001: the site hosts the IUP Art Plastique then the association La Boite à Malice (circus).
*2005: registration as a Historic Monument and 20th century Heritage label.
