Description

The art of glass comes to Auvillar! Discover the work of 8 glass artists and stained-glass makers: blowing, traditional stained glass, glass slab, and torchwork. A poetic and historical journey echoing the stained-glass windows of the adjacent chapel. A colorful immersion not to be missed!
Exhibition : "Glass in all its Glory" Vibrant and colorful, this exhibition will open its doors for the European Artistic Crafts Days (JEMA) weekend, running from April 7 to April 12, 2026, and will remain on display until September 30, 2026, at the Deux Rives Tourist Office in Auvillar. Eight art craftsmen, artists, glassblowers, and stained-glass makers present their poetic worlds through unique works created using a variety of techniques. This rich palette will allow you to discover glassblowing, traditional stained glass, glass slab (or mosaic), as well as fused glass and torchworking techniques. You will be enchanted by surprising pieces and artworks blending enamels, plants, and even calligraphy. The theme echoes the stained-glass windows of the chapel adjacent to the Auvillar Tourist Office, where the exhibition is held. Educational panels will trace the history of the different glassmaking trades, the specific glass slab windows of the chapel, and the evolution of stained glass since the Middle Ages.
