The tone is set! In the tradition of female singer-songwriters, she blends original compositions with spoken interludes, weaving together humor, poetry, and social commentary. Her songs speak to her innermost self, to the woman she is, and perhaps, by extension, to many other women. Her lyrics explore with candor and sensitivity our relationship with the body, the fear of loneliness, the desire to please, sexist and sexual violence, and feminist struggles. The tone is deliberately provocative toward the audience; irony and biting wit often give way to lyrical and poetic musical moments where emotion unfolds.
