This brand-new duo was formed around the traditional Appalachian Old Time repertoire, interwoven with original compositions by Gregg Weiss. Individually, these two artists, who perform internationally, lead very diverse projects, ranging from jazz to Brazilian music, including pop and American traditional music. Originally from North Carolina, Andrew Finn Magill has been a professional violinist since childhood. In 1991, his father founded the Swannanoa Gathering, one of the most respected institutions on the American traditional music scene in the United States. Gregg Weiss, for his part, comes from New York and has been living in the Southwest of France for about twenty years, and on its musical and cultural scene of course! For this project, he composed instrumental pieces and original songs in the style of the traditional Old Time repertoire of the Appalachians.
