The wine of predilection of Montauban

The denomination surrounding Montauban can produce different wines. Winemakers can play with several varieties: Syrah, Cabernet, Franc, Tannat, Merlot, Gamay for reds and rosés, and Sauvignon and Chardonnay for whites.

Six appellations are spread over the department and wine tourism is developing around this wine diversity. Saint-Sardos, Brulhois, Lavilledieu, Coteaux du Quercy, Coteaux et Terrasses de Montauban, so many terroirs made up of small vineyards that welcome the visitor with pleasure.
